About the role

  • Establish and maintain relationships with multiple levels within the client organisation, whilst cultivating these relationships to a higher level. This includes organising and running a series of regular client meetings from monthly service reviews, senior steering committee meetings and annual relationship reviews. Act as primary owner to resolve open action items.
  • Build and foster relationships across the client organisation, including with Product, Operations, Technology and Compliance, using these relationships to influence good outcomes for the client and Proxymity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with issuer agents in the region, acting as a trusted partner for business development opportunities and senior point of escalation.
  • Build, maintain and drive account plans for clients ensuring a good understanding of their business needs and our solutions, whilst constantly working to match these and expand the business relationship.
  • Collaborate with an existing base of financial intermediaries to ensure widespread adoption of the Proxymity platform by their respective custody and other relevant business lines.
  • Identify areas of growth and opportunity with new client segments via inquisitive and interactive discovery of their needs.
  • Work with management to refine and execute the sales and marketing strategy for the APAC region.
  • Regular reporting to Proxymity management on the status of your client portfolio, challenges, and emerging opportunities.
  • Take active roles in local advocacy and become a recognised market participant and thought leader.
  • Collaboration with the Proxymity marketing team to evolve marketing collateral and narratives for the financial intermediary client segment, as well as help in the planning of client events in the region.
  • Build a deep understanding of the Proxymity value proposition and product lines with a view to marketing our solutions and developing new ones into existing client portfolios.
  • Negotiation and execution of contracts with existing and new relationships

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a Relationship Manager or commercial role
  • Experience managing budgets and executing on commercial contracts independently
  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets and asset servicing; Knowledge of the corporate actions and proxy voting ecosystems is a distinct advantage
  • Experience in navigating and managing senior management at clients and partners
  • Experience in developing new business ideas and opportunities
  • Experience managing successful client onboarding/implementation
  • Proven track record of positive client engagement
  • Record of working on confidential initiatives effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen
  • Ambitious with a can-do attitude
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Additional language (Mandarin, Cantonese, or Japanese) would be an advantage
