About the role
- Prowess Consulting: consulting firm that helps large enterprises in the technology industry define, manage, benchmark, and market solutions and services.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and readability of all content in assigned subject areas.
- Edit a variety of deliverables for style, tone, and grammar, ensuring adherence to clients' style and brand requirements.
- Develop content and edit others' content to published specifications.
- Work closely with teammates to polish and finalize deliverables, verify substantiation, request permission to cite third-party resources, and identify missing/incorrect content in templated materials.
- Identify essential information and key takeaways and verify that key claims include appropriate substantiation.
- Freelance contract role, remote; collaboration with teammates centered in the Pacific time zone is essential.
Requirements
- Strong writing, editing, communication, and organization skills.
- 2+ years of editing experience required, preferably in a technology field and with a focus on marketing/technology content.
- Experience with technical content creation, publishing, and editing.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess an eye for detail, with the ability to boil down content to its essential elements and identify key takeaways.
- Proficiency in common office software, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Ability to learn and apply new styles, brands, and guidelines quickly when provided with appropriate guidance.
- Willingness and ability to proactively seek out style guidance where none is overtly provided and to standardize content to consistently adhere to an established style.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
