Serve as the lead developer and architect for Workday integration initiatives, owning end-to-end technical delivery.
Collaborate with business analysts, Workday functional consultants, and client stakeholders to gather requirements and define integration specifications.
Design and implement integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, Document Transformation, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and Workday Web Services APIs.
Lead integration testing efforts, including unit, system, and end-to-end testing with client systems.
Troubleshoot integration issues and perform root cause analysis to deliver timely fixes.
Ensure integration solutions are scalable, secure, and meet best practice guidelines.
Provide guidance and technical oversight to junior developers, if applicable.
Maintain documentation for integrations, including technical specifications and change logs.
Support post-implementation monitoring, maintenance, and enhancements of existing integrations.
Stay current on Workday releases and emerging integration tools or capabilities.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations.
Proven expertise with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, and custom integration development.
Strong experience with Workday Web Services (REST and SOAP) and associated technologies (XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON).
Experience with Workday security as it relates to integration, access, and permissions.
Ability to lead integration projects independently from design to deployment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Experience with Workday Student integrations or configuration. (Preferred)
Familiarity with middleware tools (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft) is a plus. (Preferred)
Knowledge of SFTP, OAuth2, PGP encryption, and other common integration security protocols. (Preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. (Preferred)
