About the role
- Facilitate requests for insurance authorization for Home Health patients.
- Review cases on admission and throughout the home health certification to determine authorization needs.
- Ensure all services to be provided are covered for reimbursement.
Requirements
- Coursework/Training: Educational coursework in medical terminology or Equivalent knowledge acquired through on-the job experience.
- A criminal background check is required for this position.
- 2 years Recent experience in health care billing/insurance, unit secretary or related experience in a clinical setting or home services.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
