About the role
- Interact with patients and their families to resolve patient accounts through financial clearance
- Collect payments and obtain sponsorship for financial assistance
- Determine eligibility for Providence St. Joseph Health Financial Assistance
- Provide education and facilitate completion of Medicaid/MediCal applications
- Make referrals for enrollment support
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare business office preferred
- 2 years of experience in automated, computerized account follow-up system, preferably in Epic
- Knowledge in reimbursement of health care accounts from insurance companies preferred
- Previous experience with medical and health plan terminology
