About the role
- Handles direct interaction with patients and their families providing financial insurance and payment information.
- Educates patients on various sponsorship programs.
- Liaison to the PBO/RBO and the sponsoring hospital.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in a Business Office, preferably in a financial/billing position.
- Experience with medical and health plan terminology, CPT codes, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
- Coursework/Training: College coursework.
- Experience with medical specialty.
