About the role
- Responsible for infection control surveillance, consultation, education, and regulatory agency compliance for St Joseph Heritage Healthcare statewide.
- Plan, develop, direct, implement, and evaluate the infection prevention program and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collect, report, and present statistical information regarding infection control.
- Participate in quality control and quality/performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide consultation and education to caregivers and stakeholders and support Providence\'s mission of patient-focused, whole-person care.
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing OR Associate’s Degree of Nursing with enrollment in a BSN program to be completed within 2 years.
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License.
- Experience in Infection Control.
- 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse including both areas of ambulatory care and acute care nursing.
- Preferred: Master\'s Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Certified in Infection Control (CIC) upon hire.
