Support Engineer

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
• Collaborate across teams (Engineering, Product, Client Success) to ensure effective problem resolution.
• Support client-facing teams with explanations of complex problems to non-technical stakeholders via calls, emails and documentation
• Debug and resolve camera-related and networking issues across client installations using Linux systems via AWS.
• Monitor and investigate system issues using AWS CloudWatch analysing error codes and logs to identify root causes.
• Troubleshoot integration issues between edge devices and cloud (database), ensuring uninterrupted system performance.
• Provide escalated technical support for system installations and deployments
• Debug Python and JavaScript code as needed to resolve client-facing issues
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools and systems, documenting technical solutions and for the purposes of knowledge base development

• Design and implement high-availability computer vision serving infrastructure capable of handling the needs of external customers and high-demand workloads
• Lead incident response for critical AI services, using automation to ensure rapid recovery and systematic improvements from each incident
• Build and maintain a metrics-driven, cost-optimised edge platform so we can predict and iteratively improve efficiency as we scale
• Write automation software, implement AWS Greengrass components, tune and automate iptables firewall rules, and maintain remote access and diagnostic tools that keep our safety systems dependable at scale

• Own how Protex devices are provisioned, accessed, secured, and kept healthy in the field
• Run and evolve our remote access fabric for edge devices
• Deploy and operate security monitoring tools across remote devices via our existing device management platform
• Own OS updates, upgrades, and kernel/driver compatibility across the fleet
• Design how a brand-new Protex device goes from box to production
• Maintain the firewall, port, and endpoint documentation we hand to customer IT and security teams
• Internal Linux infrastructure, identity, SSO, MDM where relevant, and the day-to-day systems work that keeps the engineering org and the fleet running
