About the role
- Provides leadership for nursing department personnel
- Develops, maintains, and implements nursing policies and procedures
- Evaluates the work performance of direct report nursing personnel
- Participates in clients' medical care
- Develops strategic initiatives, implements new or revised programs, policies and procedures
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels and actively participate with Recruitment
- Interprets policies and procedures and communicates understanding to nursing staff
- Facilitates and/or participates in regularly scheduled team meetings
- Ensures quality assurance/improvement through audits
- Oversees all Nursing/Medical department expenses
- Maintains appropriate professional boundaries with current clients
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in nursing management
- Current RN licensure
- Bachelors in nursing preferred; Master’s preferred
