About the role

  • Research and analyze the assigned territory to identify potential end customers with purchase interest in Interactive Flat Panel Displays (IFPDs) and related solutions
  • Proactively generate sales opportunities by presenting and positioning the Promethean value proposition
  • Arrange and conduct customer meetings and presentations – on-site and virtually
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, school networks, and regional education authorities, including ministries and public institutions, as well as develop additional contacts in the corporate sector
  • Work remotely from a home office, at customer sites and trade shows, or from the office in Essen as required
  • Collaborate closely with reseller partners to support product demonstrations, customer meetings, and opportunity development
  • Enable partners through product launches and joint customer activities
  • Work with internal sales, marketing, and support teams to successfully implement solutions
  • Deliver high-quality presentations for customers and partners
  • Participate in trade shows, events, and demonstrations to raise awareness of Promethean products and services
  • Support after-sales handover/orientation sessions on larger projects to ensure successful roll-out and identify follow-on business
  • Build and maintain key contacts within educational institutions and relevant market influencers, as well as in the corporate sector
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets while ensuring contribution margins and high customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or channel-oriented roles
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a pronounced customer focus
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Experience or a strong interest in the education, AV, or public-sector markets
  • High self-motivation, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to quickly learn technical products and solutions and position them convincingly
  • Basic technical understanding of hardware and software solutions
  • Experience with Promethean products or comparable education/AV solutions is a plus – comprehensive product training will be provided
