About the role

  • Administer all employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other company-sponsored benefits with meticulous attention to detail
  • Conduct regular audits of benefits data, enrollment records, and documentation to ensure 100% accuracy and identify discrepancies proactively
  • Review and verify all benefits-related transactions, communications, and documentation before dissemination to employees
  • Maintain quality control processes to prevent errors in benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations
  • Partner closely with our insurance broker on renewals, open enrollment, and compliance
  • Monitor legislative changes and proactively assess their impact on company benefits programs and policies
  • Coordinate with background check vendors and follow up on any discrepancies or delays
  • Ensure all pre-employment requirements are satisfied and documented prior to start dates
  • Create and maintain organized onboarding files with all required documentation
  • Track leave eligibility, usage, and return-to-work dates with precision

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR with substantial benefits responsibility
  • Thorough knowledge of benefits regulations including FMLA, COBRA, ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and error-free work product
  • Proven track record of staying current with employment law changes and proactively implementing necessary updates
  • Experience managing medical leaves and understanding of accommodation requirements under ADA
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
