About the role

  • Lead, coach, and elevate a globally distributed Salesforce engineering organization
  • Assess the current team structure, capabilities, practices, and tech stack, and rapidly develop and implement an organizational and execution improvement plan
  • Partner closely with the Enterprise Application Architect and Product organization to simplify the quote-to-cash landscape
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand strategic challenges and requirements
  • Implement modern engineering practices including coding standards, CI/CD, test automation, documentation, code review discipline, and release management excellence.
  • Manage external contractors and consulting partners to ensure adherence to Progress engineering standards
  • Drive clear ownership, work breakdown, and execution plans that turn architecture and strategy into shipped outcomes.
  • Instill transparent delivery rituals — including capacity planning, burn-down visibility, sprint/feature commitments, and delivery health reporting.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement, urgency, accountability, and technical pride.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform innovations, industry trends, and emerging technologies to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and modernization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
  • 8-10+ years of hands-on engineering leadership experience, including managing Salesforce engineering or platform delivery teams.
  • Proven experience transforming underperforming teams into highly accountable, high-output engineering organizations.
  • Demonstrated success implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, testing frameworks, and code quality standards in a Salesforce environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives involving CPQ, integrations, and downstream quote-to-cash systems.
  • Experience leading globally distributed teams, including offshore models, with clear structure and execution discipline.
  • Ability to partner with architecture to translate long-term vision into incremental modernization steps and near-term wins.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models, capacity planning, and engineering metrics (velocity, defect rates, predictability, etc.).
  • Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, or CPQ Specialist are highly desirable.
