About the role

  • Provides day-to-day coaching to leadership on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application, talent management and development, and organizational design consultation
  • Conducts and documents internal investigations, makes recommendations including review/approval of employee terminations
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Assist with the investigation and response to all legal demands and Federal/State charges
  • Supports annual HR cycle deliverables to include performance management, merit and bonus awards, benefits enrollment, etc.
  • Assist HRBP/Director in evaluating issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solution and program designs i.e., training to address certain needs
  • Partners with Payroll, HRIS, and Compensation and Benefits functions as needed to provide solutions for clients
  • Conducts research and ensures compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations
  • Completes and adjudicates ADA Interactive Reviews in partnership with HRBP
  • Administers unemployment insurance processes, reviews liability reports, monitors program costs and recommends policy changes to the director of human resources
  • Assist with developing and administrating of all company internal policies and procedures
  • All other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience supporting employees in multiple states preferred
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, HRIS systems, social media and online job boards
  • Minimum 2 years Human Resources generalist experience required
  • Willingness to travel between local office locations and/or out of state work in a fast-moving, dynamic company culture and industry
  • A friendly personality with a customer-service mindset
  • Can thrive in an ambiguous environment with constant change
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Tech savvy; Excel, MS Office, Powerpoint proficiency required
  • Results oriented, can-do mentality with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must maintain high level of confidentiality and handle privileged information in a professional manner.
