About the role
- Assist Prodigy’s in-house legal enforcement team with managing the end-to-end legal enforcement process
- Draft arbitral pleadings and submissions to remote arbitration in London
- Liaise with arbitrators and manage the entire arbitral process
- Negotiate settlements and payment plans with delinquent borrowers
- Manage external local counsel in multiple jurisdictions
- Provide ad hoc support to the wider Prodigy legal team
Requirements
- Admitted lawyer qualified in South Africa
- ~5 years of legal experience at a law firm, ALSP, or in-house at a bank
- Strong litigation and/or arbitration experience
- Resilient, proactive, and capable of working autonomously
