• Lead GiveDirectly’s humanitarian response portfolio, identifying new opportunities for cash-based interventions in crisis settings
• Develop strategic relationships with humanitarian agencies, donors, and governments to scale cash programming and coordinate responses
• Oversee scoping, program design, and rapid deployment for new responses, ensuring operational feasibility and alignment with humanitarian standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tech, Operations, Comms) to ensure programs are delivered quickly, safely, and effectively
• Maintain strong compliance, safeguarding, and risk management practices across all humanitarian contexts
• Serve as a thought leader and advocate for direct giving as a humanitarian tool at global forums, conferences, and with media
• Support humanitarian program leads, fostering a culture of inclusivity, learning, and ownership

• Play a critical role in supporting the design and delivery of rapid cash responses globally.
• Coordinate program implementation, manage day-to-day operations, and contribute to fundraising efforts by documenting field insights and preparing donor materials.
• Execute high-quality program delivery in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Manage projects and workstreams with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Support internal and external relationships, including partners, vendors, and donors.
• Coordinate design, planning, and execution of emergency response operations, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Track and report on program metrics to support learning and performance management.
• Liaise with partners, vendors, and subgrantees to ensure smooth execution.
• Manage day-to-day activities of designated response, including field staff tasking and coordination with surge teams.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior staff or surge team members during deployments.
• May be asked to support new business development, donor reporting, or appeal materials.
