About the role

  • You are our first point of contact for legally sound drafting and clearance of communications, campaigns and claims.
  • You work closely with Marketing, Brand, E‑Commerce, Product and Sales — fast, pragmatic and with a clear focus on enabling growth without losing sight of legal risks.
  • You review and approve advertising statements/claims (e.g., product promises, price advertising, comparisons, “test winner” claims, testimonials, health claims, discount promotions).
  • You advise our influencer/creator marketing on contract drafting and guidelines.
  • You conduct reviews of landing pages, social ads, newsletters, packaging copy and campaign materials.
  • You build and maintain Marketing Legal Playbooks (Do’s & Don’ts, claim library, checklists, approval processes).
  • In the marketing context, you review image/video/text usage rights (stock, UGC, creator content), ensure clean licensing chains and support with IP questions around brand assets (e.g., logos, slogans, designs) — practical and solution‑oriented.
  • You support adjacent topics such as data protection (tracking/cookies, tool setups or standard contracts e.g., AVV/DPA).
  • You perform trademark collision/clearance checks and, together with colleagues, accompany the trademark/brand strategy.

Requirements

  • You have passed the German Second State Examination in Law (2. Staatsexamen).
  • LL.M. and/or subject‑specific foreign language legal training is a plus.
  • You have 1–3 years of professional experience in competition law (ideally with a strong marketing focus) and possess Soft IP knowledge.
  • You bring a very good understanding of typical marketing risks: claims, price advertising, comparative advertising, testimonials, influencer disclosures.
  • You speak German at C2 or native level and English at a business‑fluent/negotiation level.
  • Structured working methods, a quick grasp of issues and an ownership mindset are among your strengths.
  • You enjoy working with non‑lawyers and have the ability to guide matters clearly and courteously.
