About the role
- As an outside Sales Representative, your primary responsibility is ownership of your territory and actively managing a strategic call cycle to grow sales at existing accounts and secure new business.
- Building strong relationships with buyers, presenting compelling sales opportunities, and executing effective sales strategies will be key to your role.
- Regular travel is required to meet face-to-face with accounts in your territory, with additional travel as needed.
- You will be accountable for achieving territory sales goals, new item placements, and account development.
- Success in this role requires consistent in-person engagement with accounts and strong relationship management.
- Attend industry events, tradeshows, and meetings to strengthen partnerships and stay informed on market trends.
- You will also check shelf tags, rotate stock, and perform audits when needed.
- Maintain proactive, solution-driven communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales leadership, brand partners, and internal teams to align on goals and initiatives.
- Utilizing sales data and market insights is critical to identifying opportunities and maximizing sales.
Requirements
- Proven ability to sell, negotiate, and build lasting client relationships.
- Strong business acumen, with experience managing a sales pipeline and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the assigned territory (four days per week in the field).
- Interest in natural/organic food and products.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Flexibility to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines with a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs when handling promotional materials or setting up displays.
