Evaluate and treat patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
Oversee and insure a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient.
Promote patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
Coordinate and communicate with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
Coordinate efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
Serve as a patient advocate.
Participate in educational programs, inservices, meetings, and special project teams as required.
Use EPIC electronic charting system to document care.
Requirements
Less than one year of experience in physical therapy (new graduates encouraged to apply).
Bachelor's degree required (Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred).
NM License of Physical Therapy required.
BLS required at time of hire.
Basic computer skills required.
Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served.
