About the role

  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to define and execute Preply’s long-term financial strategy.
  • Lead company-wide forecasting, budgeting, capital allocation, and investment planning.
  • Partner closely with the CFO to strengthen Preply’s external financial narrative and engagement with investors.
  • Drive the evolution of finance systems, controls, and reporting processes required for a potential public-company environment.
  • Serve as a key financial advisor to senior business leaders.
  • Build scalable processes, systems, and decision frameworks to support Preply’s global growth trajectory.
  • Inspire and empower high-performing teams across FP&A, Corporate Finance, Procurement, and PMO.
  • Align with Finance Analytics to strengthen forecasting accuracy, data quality, and executive-level financial visibility.
  • Oversee Finance PMO initiatives to ensure disciplined execution of key strategic projects.
  • Maintain a culture that balances accountability with empathy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including 5+ years at the senior-executive level leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Direct experience preparing for or operating within a public-company environment.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with CFOs and investor-relations leaders.
  • Proven record of building and scaling FP&A and corporate finance functions.
  • Track record of successful collaboration with product, marketing, and operations leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale organizations through thoughtful delegation, empowerment, and leadership development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced credential strongly preferred.
