About the role
- Plan and schedule vehicle pickups and deliveries, ensuring optimal routing and timely execution.
- Ensure that accounts are monitored, and properly serviced according to that accounts SLA’s.
- Track the location and status of vehicles using GPS and other tracking systems, ensuring adherence to schedules and addressing any delays or issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Provide clear instructions and updates to all parties involved.
- Manage customer inquiries and concerns, providing prompt and professional responses to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address and resolve any problems or discrepancies that arise during transportation, including route changes, delays, or vehicle issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including delivery schedules, and customer interactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role, preferably within the automobile transportation or related industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in dispatch software and GPS systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members.
- Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues, demonstrating strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
