About the role
- Provide legal support and day-to-day contracting needs for assigned business units
- Draft, negotiate, review, and approve GPO member and supplier agreements
- Conduct training sessions for business units on relevant legal matters
- Counsel business teams on regulatory compliance with emphasis on healthcare regulations
- Work independently on moderately complex legal matters with limited direction
- Interact with senior management, Premier’s members, regulatory agencies, and outside counsel
Requirements
- 7 or more years of applicable experience
- Juris Doctorate (Required)
- Active member of a state bar
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and accurately under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Sound judgement, and the ability to work collaboratively
- Superior analytical and writing skills, coupled with good business and financial acumen
- Extensive knowledge of commercial contract law and transactional experience
- Understanding of healthcare regulatory law
- Experience analyzing matters involving the federal Anti-Kickback Statute is highly preferred
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
