About the role

  • The Senior Software Engineer develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.\n
  • This position will design, code, repair, enhance, integrate, upgrade, convert, provide level-3 support, and administer application software, and middleware.\n
  • Work is performed within enterprise guidelines and standards regarding the development life cycle, version control, source code control, documentation, testing, code verification, continuous integration, continuous deployment, automation, compliance policies and team collaboration.\n
  • This level of software engineer will work on every story in the sprint. They take direction from lead / architect but will oversee work and provide mentorship to lower-level software engineers.\n
  • This level will take a high level (and often vague) stories and break it down into small well-defined tasks and manage them to fruition.\n
  • They have full latitude for independent judgment when applying skills and problem-solving capabilities, with input and minimal oversight required by lead, architect or supervisor.\n
  • They update their job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.\n
  • This position collaborates with the development teams, Security, collaborative groups/clients and other cross-functional teams to define, provide for, and test deliverables.\n

Requirements

  • Years of Applicable Experience - 4 or more years\n
  • Education: Bachelors (Required)\n
  • Cross Platform Application development JAVA, React JS, React Native or similar frameworks\n
  • SQL, query tools and other software tools\n
  • PHP\n
  • Experience developing with Docker\n
  • Experience with relational and non-relational database concepts\n
  • Automated provisioning / deployment pipelines and other devOps tooling\n
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands on development\n
  • Additional Job Requirements: Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time\n
  • Be adaptive and change priorities quickly; meet deadlines\n
  • Attention to detail\n
  • Operate computer programs and software\n
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats\n

  • Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees.\n
  • Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $90,000 - $150,000.\n
  • Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.\n
