About the role

  • Evaluate business requirements provided by system end users and business stakeholders and translate high-level requirements into detailed designs
  • Plan solutions using provided information and materials
  • Design, develop, architect, implement, and support end-to-end business applications on the Appian BPM platform
  • Configure Appian’s Business Process Management Suite to improve human-centric business processes
  • Design and implement data models based on customer application requirements
  • Support hands-on development, Proof of Concepts, and demos as needed
  • Develop and implement Appian and web-based applications and integrate with other COTS products
  • Provide expertise in related technologies, including SQL and Appian configurations, and provide technical guidance to other developers
  • Draft and update documentation, including custom use cases, agile user stories, and BPMN process models
  • Estimate and size Appian business requirements and debug issues in Interfaces and Process Models

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of software engineering experience
  • Appian Level 1 or 2 Certification required
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Appian RPA/BPM
  • Experience with Java and APIs
  • Experience with integrations with external systems
  • Experience with SQL and Appian configurations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to scope Appian projects and provide accurate estimates
  • Attention to detail and strong design skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment
  • Qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or EAD/GC holders
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
