About the role
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key distributor partners
- Understand the distributor’s business objectives, strategies and challenges
- Collaborate with distributors to develop joint business plans and set sales targets
- Regularly review performance metrics and provide insights to improve sales and profitability
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and SOW growth within existing distributor partners
- Become the first point of contact for distributors for new business opportunities
- Work with the CT&LIC Business Manager to develop a strategy to expand our footprint within distribution
- Develop strategies to introduce and then grow the footprint of PPG’s digital solutions within the CT sector
- Conduct regular customer visits to build rapport, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
- Collaborate with commercial colleagues in the car sector where distributors are shared
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports, providing insights and recommendations to the management team
- Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, key accounts or in a similar sales role within the CT&LIC industry
- Strong knowledge of the CT&LIC sector, including market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends
- Technical experience, especially around products and application methods within CT&LIC
- Sales experience within a technically driven market sector, and of selling through distribution
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Proficient in sales forecasting and reporting
- Ability to travel
