About the role
- Serve as strategic partner to CEO and Board; lead all aspects of financial operations and long-term financial strategy
- Oversee controllership, FP&A, tax, treasury, and ensure timely accurate close cycles
- Lead annual budgeting, expense oversight, forecasting, scenario planning, and KPI reporting
- Build and develop finance team; implement processes, controls, and best practices
- Optimize systems (NetSuite, BlackLine, Avalara) and ensure financial data integrity
- Manage cash flow, collections, working capital, debt covenants, and banking relationships
- Support pricing strategy, renewals, contract structuring, and quote-to-cash processes for SaaS and SCADA/EMS
- Participate in investor reporting and serve as primary interface to investor group alongside CEO
Requirements
- Proven capability to build a world-class finance function across controllership, FP&A, tax, and treasury
- Deep experience working with private equity and lenders
- International business and team experience (required)
- Experience across integrated solutions: hardware, software, and services
- Energy industry experience (highly desired)
- Experience managing legal and HR functions (prioritized)
- Demonstrated knowledge of systems implementation and integration for financial data integrity
- Familiarity with NetSuite, BlackLine, and Avalara
- Experience with SaaS growth metrics and ARR targets
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- CPA required; MBA preferred
