About the role
- Two-year rotational program across investment operations teams with approximately six-month rotations
- Support Trade Operations: provide business and operational support for trading functions and support trade lifecycle
- Support Investment Analysis: calculate returns, attribution, exposure and risk analytics and use GMO proprietary and third-party applications (FactSet, StatPro)
- Support Pricing Analytics: provide timely and accurate valuation across equities, futures, fixed income, listed/unlisted derivatives and complex OTC instruments
- Support Reconciliations Analytics: validate custodian data, identify/research/resolve discrepancies for mutual funds, hedge funds, and separately managed accounts
- Support Shareholder Services: review, process and report institutional and high net worth client cash flows and develop client-facing skills
- Partner with internal teams including Compliance, Client Relations, Global Client Relations, Portfolio Management, and ESG
- Participate in an expansive training program upon joining and ongoing training during the program
- After two years, goal to place successful participants into a full-time position within investment operations
Requirements
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field by June 2026
- Previous exposure to financial services through prior internships, personal projects and/or classwork
- Desire to learn a broad range of skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities along with the ability to learn new concepts and systems efficiently
- Positive attitude, professional and mature
- Detail-oriented, able to effectively manage multiple tasks, and able to prioritize work
