About the role

  • Perform health checks on implementations of customers about to pay their first bill using tracked usage data
  • Make contact with these customers to set them up for success and ensure they can see subscription value from the start
  • Present an adoption pathway and educate customers on benefits of additional PostHog products they may not be using
  • Find and implement opportunities for automation in the onboarding process
  • Work with the wider Sales and Customer Success team to identify and hand off potential larger customers who require more focus
  • Act as a trusted advisor to technical customers, advising on configuration and cost optimisation
  • Shape a new part of the sales team combining technical expertise and customer relationship skills

Requirements

  • Must be located in San Francisco area (in-office role)
  • Comfortable coming into the office 5x week
  • Able to go deep on understanding PostHog’s products, including Feature Flags and Data Warehouse
  • Ability to advise on configuration best practices for companies with multiple products and applications, including SDK tradeoffs and implementation
  • Strong customer focus — help users and remove blockers
  • Commercially-minded — think about growth and retention of revenue
  • Good at finding creative ways to engage customers who may never have spoken with us before
  • Experience onboarding customers to a technical product and helping them use it in a meaningful way
  • Nice to have: Experience with developer tools (product analytics, session replay, feature flags, A/B testing, data warehouses, data pipelines)
  • Nice to have: Pre-sales, technical account manager, or support-type role experience
