About the role
- Overseeing day to day bookkeeping processes, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
- Ensuring company financial policies are followed, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes to enhance efficiency
- Identifying cost saving opportunities, questioning inefficiencies and unnecessary expenditure, championing financial savviness
- Working closely with the People & Culture team to prepare monthly payroll for external payroll provider, ensuring all relevant administration is free from error and completed within strict deadlines
- Overseeing month end close activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of processes
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for review
- Supervise credit control procedures to ensure timely collection of receivables, managing and processing weekly payment runs and ensure accounts payables ledger is accurate and up to date
- Manage short term cashflow to support daily operations
- Ad hoc financial support to the business where necessary
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in financial management within a commercial or industry environment.
- Experience of payroll preparation
- Experience of people management
- Experienced user of Xero
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Awareness of compliance and risk management
- Ability to proactively manage own workload and delegate as appropriate
- Excellent communication skills
