About the role
- Manage all aspects of adult and graduate student recruitment as assigned, including pre-admissions advising, applicant counseling and follow-up
- Direct communication to prospective applicants (e.g., description of programs, admissions procedures, financial aid, etc.)
- Advise applicants on specific program areas, monitor communications with applicants throughout the admissions process
- Counsel walk-ins and take phone inquiries
- Utilize admissions CRM/JRM to track prospective students and the applicant/admissions process
- Recommend prospective students for admission to graduate programs
- Represent graduate programs at recruitment and marketing events
- Develop new recruitment opportunities for adult and graduate programs
- Advise academic leadership regarding admissions policies, trouble shoot issues related to new students and academic areas and make recommendations for improvement in assigned graduate programs
- Train and mentor new graduate enrollment counselors
- Research, analyze, and implement various projects, as assigned
- Coordinate implementation of marketing campaigns utilizing various media outlets
- Partner with administrative staff and Assistant Director of Admissions for processing when necessary
- Other related responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Two years related marketing experience or equivalent business experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be highly motivated with a high level of enthusiasm for marketing academic programs
- Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of Point Loma Nazarene University
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including public speaking skills
- Must possess strong detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks under deadline stresses
- Strong computer skills to support the marketing and admissions process
- Ability to exercise interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with prospective students, external contacts, faculty and staff
- Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement.
