About the role
- Monitoring litigation enquiries; providing client care including liaising with clients (by phone and email)
- Undertaking ad-hoc research projects as necessary
- Analysing data and providing reports/summaries of findings
- Managing the Group Register of claimants for the case
- Liaising directly with clients in order to progress with their individual claims
- Filing correspondence internally, and through E-Filing with the Court
- Managing the litigation timetable and key diary dates for Associate Solicitor(s)
- Civil litigation specific tasks including preparing documentation for substitutions; discontinuances; file closing; probate etc.
- Disclosure review using the Relativity e-discovery platform
- Drafting correspondence and memoranda
- Develop and maintain relationships with external counsel
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, in person and writing
- Experience in Brazilian collective law and Consumer law
- Excellent analytical skills, including for legal issues presented in documents
- Independent and proactive approach to work, but willing to ask for help when needed
- Hard-working, resilient, highly organised, and flexible
- Acute attention to detail
- Respectful of client confidentiality
- Comfortable working as part of a dynamic international team.
- Post-graduate qualification in private international; environmental; business and human rights laws (Desirable)
- Previous experience of using the Relativity e-disclosure platform (Desirable)
- Previous experience of using Proclaim (or equivalent), case management system. (Desirable)
- Portuguese language skills (Desirable)
