About the role
- Test Planning and Execution: Developing and executing comprehensive test plans, including manual and automated testing strategies, to ensure thorough coverage
- Defect Management: Identifying, reporting, and tracking defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues, and verifying bug fixes
- Quality Standards Enforcement: Ensuring that all software products meet established quality standards and adhere to best practices
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluating and improving testing processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient workflow
- Test Environment Management: Ensuring the availability and stability of test environments, including configuring necessary resources and data
- Staying Updated: Keeping abreast of the latest testing technologies, tools, and methodologies
- Training and Development: Providing training and mentorship to team members to enhance their testing skills and knowledge
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of testing activities, results, and progress, and reporting findings to relevant stakeholders
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience
- Strong SQL with hands on experience building complex SQL queries
- Experience with Jira or related software to manage the testing process
- University/college degree typically required
- Certifications often desired
