About the role

  • Prepare, configure, and maintain software packages for deployment
  • Manage lifecycle of desktop applications: packaging, testing, deployment, support
  • Create and customize installation packages using MECM/SCCM, Intune, AdminStudio, InstallShield, MSI
  • Manage application upgrades, updates, and patches with documentation and version control
  • Test packaged software for installation and compatibility; resolve conflicts
  • Work with deployment teams to roll out applications and support users
  • Write and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
  • Ensure packages follow security policies and compliance requirements
  • Document packaging processes and troubleshooting steps
  • Communicate with software owners, vendors, end users, and IT staff
  • Keep up with packaging tools and best practices to improve efficiency and quality
  • Support improvement projects and train staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • Experience with software packaging and deployment in Windows environments
  • Extensive experience with tools like Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Intune, AdminStudio, InstallShield, and MSI
  • Deep knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Batch, and VBScript)
  • Understanding of Windows desktops, servers, and Active Directory
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
  • Industry certifications (preferred: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation)
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud desktop solutions (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow (preferred)
  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience (typical)
