About the role
- Define and maintain a multi-quarter roadmap for our global payments platform and APIs, aligned with company and BU goals.
- Recognize new technology and market trends in the payments domain and how they impact the loyalty business, to help drive product strategies and long-term roadmaps.
- Translate commercial payment strategy and risk requirements into clear product outcomes and milestones in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead discovery and solution design with various teams to understand payment platform needs, chargebacks, fraud, and reporting. Including discovery of new capabilities, localized APMs, and multi-PSP orchestration
- Define detailed product requirements and API-level use cases covering payment flows, error handling, and data contracts.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog for payments-related initiatives in cross BU partnership.
- Drive stakeholder alignment and communication as a key point of contact for payments capabilities, ensuring stakeholders understand scope, timelines, and impacts.
- Contribute to cross-team alignment to surface dependencies, risks, and decisions related to payments initiatives while providing clear, timely updates to leadership.
- Use data analytics to analyze payment solutions, flag weakness and strive for ongoing improvements.
- Own and maintain payment platform documentation, both for internal and external audiences.
- Using Agile product delivery practices; working closely with software engineering teams to build, test, release, and measure all product initiatives.
Requirements
- 4+ years in product management or closely related roles (e.g., technical product management, product solutions) with ownership of complex platform products.
- Comfort working with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data flows between multiple services; able to collaborate closely with engineers and other non technical stakeholders
- Strong technical and analytical skills, able to dig into metrics and logs to understand issues and prioritize improvements with data.
- Proven track record leading initiatives that cut across multiple teams with many dependencies and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex payment and platform concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- Ability to balance reliability, security, and compliance with speed of delivery and business impact.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, shaping strategy and scope as we learn from partners, data, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong ownership mentality, with a bias toward iterating and improving the product based on real-world performance and feedback.
- Goal-oriented, detail-oriented, ambitious, with a strong ability to follow-through on commitments.
