About the role

  • Identify and secure revenue to meet Plexus growth and sector/regional targets
  • Develop and execute plans to sell Plexus solutions to target accounts
  • Prospect and maintain a base of assigned target accounts using strategic selling
  • Engage cross-functional Plexus teams (manufacturing, engineering) to win and support customers
  • Advocate for capability requirements and translate customer needs into deliverable solutions
  • Maintain market sector knowledge and leverage it to inform account strategies
  • Build multi-level relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate on sector marketing strategy and prioritize market development efforts

Requirements

  • 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience
  • Proactive problem solving and ability to make timely, effective recommendations
  • Ability to influence others, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Leadership competencies as defined by the company
  • Self-motivated with ability to follow through with little to no supervision
  • Travel more than 40%
  • Experience with strategic selling and professional sales techniques
  • Ability to prospect and cold call to qualify accounts
  • Strong market/industry knowledge (products, markets, funding, competition, manufacturing strategy)
  • Experience building multi-level customer relationships and cross-functional collaboration
