About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable business-facing APIs to support Plaud Teams, Enterprise, and D2C initiatives.
  • Build modular, service-oriented backend components with clear domain boundaries and production ownership.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to design and implement secure, scalable backend services that meet evolving business needs.
  • Define clear API contracts, participate in architecture and security design reviews, and uphold high standards in code quality and system reliability.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security, leveraging AI coding tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.
  • Proactively identify and address security risks in APIs, data flows, and infrastructure integrations.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and service-oriented systems.
  • Experience with scalable architecture and modular system design
  • Strong production ownership mindset (performance, reliability, security)
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in a cross-geo engineering environment
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate with high ownership.
