About the role
- Define and drive product strategy for key parts of Upsun—especially infrastructure orchestration and developer workflows.
- Shape intuitive, outcome-focused experiences that make infrastructure seamless for modern dev teams.
- Collaborate across engineering, design, marketing, support, and customer success to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and milestones.
- Gather feedback from internal users and external customers to guide product decisions and roadmap development.
- Partner closely with platform, systems, and infrastructure engineers to build scalable, reliable platform capabilities.
- Contribute to positioning, messaging, and rollout of new features with our go-to-market teams.
Requirements
- Experience as a Product Manager at a software company, ideally focused on developer platforms, infrastructure, or PaaS.
- You’ve applied a “platform as product” approach—either in commercial products or internal developer platforms.
- You understand the realities of building and running applications in the cloud with infrastructure engineers.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Golang, or Rust), and insight into the developer journey.
- Experience designing or using CI/CD workflows and working with Docker or OCI-compatible container technologies.
- Comfort with API-based platforms and understanding of cloud infrastructure complexity.
- You lead with a user-first mindset and excel at translating technical capabilities into intuitive product experiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing demands.
