About the role
- Oversee medical programs across Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi as the senior clinical leader
- Serve as the clinical voice in executive leadership discussions and report directly to the COO
- Develop and implement medical protocols aligned with PPFA Medical Standards & Guidelines and state/federal regulations
- Provide oversight, training, and proctoring for physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs)
- Provide clinical leadership and direct patient care across all PPSE service lines, including telehealth
- Drive quality, compliance, and clinical excellence
- Mentor clinicians and foster a culture of learning and excellence
- Expand access to care by guiding service expansion and strengthening referral networks
- Represent PPSE at conferences, in the media, and with policymakers; build community partnerships
- Travel up to 50% to provide clinical oversight across clinics
Requirements
- MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
- Residency trained in Obstetrics & Gynecology or Family Medicine with strong reproductive health experience
- Willingness to obtain medical licenses in GA, AL, and MS within 90 days
- Experience in abortion and reproductive healthcare
- Surgical abortion experience: 2-5 years
- Medication abortion experience: 2-5 years
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to balance strategy with hands-on patient care
- Ability to mentor and supervise physicians and APCs
- Clinical oversight experience over Telehealth and clinics (travel up to 50%)
- Gestational ages up to: 6 weeks
- Patient-focused approach with demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion
- CPR certification
- Active DEA required (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
