About the role
- Provide legal and administrative support for a team of approximately 23 attorneys in Lit & Law
- Work closely with attorneys and colleagues from other departments
- Cite-check and copy-edit briefs and other legal documents
- Conduct legal and factual research for litigation or policy assignments
- Use G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat software to draft, edit, and analyze documents
- Respond to requests for information from department attorneys and leadership
- Maintain case dockets and departmental resources
- Attend meetings and take notes, support onboarding of staff and interns
- Coordinate travel and meeting arrangements for attorneys
- Accompany litigation teams to trial as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree by Summer 2026
- Superior research, writing, and editing skills
- Familiarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe platforms strongly preferred
- Demonstrated interest in social justice
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey knowledge accurately and succinctly
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and resourcefulness
- Commitment to antiracism and to diversity, equity, and inclusion across differences.
Benefits
- Compensation: $70,000 per year, eligible for overtime
