About the role
- Creating partnerships with cross-functional partners and helping them simplify messaging to get ideas across in one sentence.
- Execute and support maintenance of Plaid’s brand voice guidelines across all brand touch points.
- Collaborate with designers and other copywriters to ensure the big, conceptual ideas behind the brand are clear in both visuals and copy.
- Collaborate with the marketing team across a variety of channels to develop copy for email, social and display, events, video, web, sales collateral, etc.
- Identify gaps in our existing messaging and define ways to strengthen our brand and voice.
Requirements
- 6+ years experience
- Linked portfolio of past work and projects
- Ability to understand technical content and quickly learn new material
- Experience writing display, social (organic and paid), email, event, and other digital performance marketing channels
- Experience writing short-form, long-form, conceptual campaigns
- Ability to adjust brand voice and tone based on audience
- Skilled storyteller and trend setter with an eye for detail and perfect grammar
- Comfortable creating and iterating on copy that will be used in A/B product testing or performance based marketing tests
- Ability to apply critical and conceptual thinking to brand and marketing strategies to develop standout creative and content experiences.
- Experience working with agile teams, including quick adaptation and iteration
- Expert multi-tasking and time management
- Experience in both B2B and B2C experience is a plus
