About the role
- Design in-game systems that shape player progression, grow retention and monetisation, and deliver an overall fun experience to the player
- Own the design, balance and monitoring of game economy, liveops and monetisation
- Propose new liveops and monetisation features by pitching their ROI so their value can be quantified for roadmap prioritization
- Closely collaborate with Product Director and Combat Designer to define the game’s roadmap, and its new content needs to update the meta, satisfy player needs, refresh the game experience and create new monetisation opportunities
- Continuously monitor, with the support of the product and community team, player behavior and feedback patterns to make adjustments and improvements to the game's live content
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior game design roles with a focus on midcore and mobile free-to-play titles
- Responsibility experience outweighs official job titles
- You understand how second-to-second action and strategy games work, why people play them, what motivates them to spend and why they keep playing for years
- You worked on at least one scaled free-to-play mobile game in liveops stage
- Experience designing, documenting, and shipping game systems with a focus on progression, economy balancing, monetisation, and liveops goals
- Comfortable analyzing data, documenting hypotheses, designing experiments and measuring results to learn autonomously
- Enjoy playing mobile games across multiple genres and you believe that learnings can come from any genre including hybrid casual
- You are motivated to work on a free-to-play title that contains loot box mechanics
