About the role
- Support attorneys and legal team members on a variety of legal matters, projects, and day-to-day operational needs.
- Assist with insurance-related tasks, including gathering information, processing invoices, and tracking renewals.
- Support customer disputes and litigation workflows, including litigation holds, document requests, and coordination with IT.
- Create POs, assist with settlement payment processes, and track litigation and subpoena deadlines.
- Provide backup support for IP and immigration tasks as needed.
- Help respond to SME requests and route inquiries to the appropriate subject-matter expert.
- Submit tickets for updates to online contract forms and help maintain compliance calendars.
- Provide occasional administrative support to attorneys when necessary.
Requirements
- 5+ years of paralegal or legal operations experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to apply common sense to new situations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort managing deadlines and multiple workstreams.
- Confidence to take ownership of projects and proactively identify and solve issues.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with individuals at all levels, including executives.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for handling a broad range of matters with varying complexity.
- High computer literacy and comfort working across multiple systems, including SharePoint.
