About the role
- Lead the creation and implementation of a structured acquisition and teardown module to optimize processes and drive operational efficiency
- Develop and execute comprehensive procedures for engine acquisition, teardown, maintenance, and sales
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team focused on engine acquisition, leasing, and sales
- Establish robust workflows and best practices to ensure the department meets and exceeds industry standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engine suppliers, lessors, and airlines to secure strategic partnerships and favorable terms
- Ensure all engines meet or exceed stringent safety, regulatory, and performance standards
- Oversee thorough inspections, maintenance, and overhaul activities in collaboration with Repair and Quality Assurance teams
- Identify new business opportunities in engine sales and leasing to drive revenue growth
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to create a cohesive and efficient engine division
Requirements
- 5+ years proven track record in engine acquisition, leasing, and sales within the aviation industry
- Established relationships with key stakeholders in the aviation and engine supply sectors
- Demonstrated success in building, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams
- Deep understanding of engine inspection, maintenance, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Proficiency in analyzing and validating technical documentation, including engine cycle readings and maintenance records
- Familiarity with Parts Procurement Worksheets (PPW) and their operational implications
- Commitment to upholding and enhancing quality assurance standards
- Strong risk assessment and mitigation skills to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations
- Exceptional ability to develop strategies, mitigate risks, and make data-driven decisions
- Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
