About the role
- Originate Loan Application through referral sources
- Increase loan production of the region, in alignment with corporate objectives and targets
- Develop, support, train and mentor a team of loan officers
- Facilitate on-going training sessions for Loan Officers and other branch personnel
- Review score cards and production reports, identify areas for improvement to optimize business performance
- Monitor and develop KPI’s for team
- Educate team on new loan programs, terms, and rates available, ensuring they make informed decisions to best serve their customers
- Advise and assist Loan Officers on company policies and procedures as well as compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams, to expedite loan processing and ensure timely closings.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of client information at all times, adhering to strict privacy policies
- Cultivate lasting relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to provide accurate and up-to-date guidance to your team
- Participate in business development initiatives, networking events, and community endeavors to enhance visibility and generate new business prospects.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), authorized to conduct business in Michigan.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience developing and leading high-performance sales teams within the mortgage industry.
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach to service delivery.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with mortgage origination software and tools preferred.
- NMLS licensing as required.
