About the role
- Travel up to 50% of time to meet with customers and deliver various integration capabilities
- Engineer and own end-effect integrations that connect with our edge hardware as well as hybrid-based software integrations that run in Legion
- Write code for our core product offerings
- Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to plan, build, and deliver complex software features and integrations
- Help deliver core product functionality for our Integration Platform and Edge OS
- Build resilient, scalable, and flexible systems for mission autonomy and base defense
- Work directly with operators, technology companies, and federal agencies to deliver rapidly deployable, mission-critical capabilities
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Developer Relations with experience in Fullstack Development
- Strong collaboration skills, particularly in distributed systems, autonomy platforms, data pipelines, and edge software
- Experience in engaging directly with end users to understand mission needs, conduct valuable user testing, and incorporate product feedback into the development process
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to thrive in collaborative, interdisciplinary team environments
- Demonstrated ability to integrate with complex government IT ecosystems, including data platforms, Identity and Access Management (IdAM) providers, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, and Cross Domain Solutions (CDSs)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US Top Secret Security Clearance
- Experience building or inventing something such as an app, a video game, a startup, an app/integration in a SaaS platform (preferred)
- Experience supporting Golang, Python, and/or React applications (preferred)
- Experience with various Communication APIs such as REST, GRPC, GraphQL, MQTT (preferred)
- Experience with hybrid operating environments (cloud, on-prem, edge) and deploying software across these areas (preferred)
- Experience building software solutions in a regulated environment for requirements such as: DOD RMF, FedRAMP ATO, NIST 800-53 (preferred)
- Ability to simplify complexity and make fast, sound decisions under pressure (preferred)
- Bonus points: experience dealing with low-latency FMV, video storage, video replay; developing TAK (iTAK, ATAK, WinTAK, TAKx, TAK Server) plugins; deep fluency in tactical data & video standards — CoT, STANAG 4609/4601, MISB KLV, MAVLink, NMEA, ONVIF/RTSP; disconnected/contested-environment DevOps; multi-sensor fusion expertise
- Export Control requirement: Applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
