About the role
- Own program-level financial tracking and revenue forecasting
- Maintain and monitor margin performance and flag risks early
- Develop and manage staffing forecasts aligned to contracted work and pipeline
- Identify hiring needs 60–90 days in advance
- Track utilization and ensure alignment between staffing and financial goals
- Own and govern Ruddr as the system of record
- Ensure project codes, billing rates, and forecast hours are accurate
- Improve intake-to-project-launch workflow efficiency
- Produce monthly operational dashboards for executive leadership
- Provide scenario modeling to inform program decisions
- Partner with delivery and recruiting to eliminate operational bottlenecks
- Create and manage the flow of timely invoice submission and management across the program including client, team, and subcontractor touchpoints
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices
Requirements
- At least eight years of experience in program operations, PMO, or financial operations in federal or complex services environments
- Strong financial modeling capability (Excel and forecasting tools)
- Experienced managing staffing forecasts and utilization models
- Financial system owner (Ruddr or other resource and financial management tools)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
- A proactive self-starter who anticipates problems before they surface
- Calm under pressure and comfortable operating in fast-paced environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High integrity and accountability
- Federal experience is critical and significantly more important than mortgage; mortgage experience is helpful but not required.
