About the role
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates, collaborating with departmental managers to identify required skills and competencies for open positions.
- Conduct and verify background checks and employee eligibility.
- Implement and manage new hire orientation programs to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
- Help administer HR programs such as benefits, leave management, training, and employee recognition programs.
- Assist with responding to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex matters as needed.
- Provide support during employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations.
- Track and document compliance with required training, certifications, and assessments, including safety and anti-harassment programs.
- Stay updated on HR trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies to continuously improve processes and practices.
- Assist with reviewing and refining HR policies and practices to support organizational goals.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support HR reporting requirements.
- Perform other related responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
- Experience within the A/E industry or related professional services firm is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in employment law, recruitment, organizational development, employee engagement, and overall Human Resources functions.
- Ability to interface with Human Resources staff and various levels of staff within the organization.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking (ATS) and HRIS systems.
- Highly motivated to take ownership of challenging assignments as well as routine tasks.
- Must be extremely proactive with all staff involved in the hiring process.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
