About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Acts as a Safety point of contact for the Asset Teams and chairs the Risk Management Committees (RMCs)
Oversees proactive safety surveillance and risk management to effect product safety signal detection & evaluation
Represents Pfizer WWS at internal and external forums as appropriate
Evaluates safety data, identifies and analyzes safety signals, and presents medical evaluation of safety signals
Prepares action plans independently to address risk and benefit-risk issues
Ensures consistency of safety risk messaging across multiple indications/BUs

Requirements

What you’ll need

MD degree with min 4+ years' experience including medical (e.g. patient care, clinical trial experience/investigator, academic medicine, specialty training and/or board certification) and/or scientific, and/or pharmacovigilance or drug development
Thorough understanding of safety risk management internal and external environment, including applicable regulations and guidance
Comprehensive knowledge of drug development process and post-marketing experience
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
Effective verbal and written communication skills
