About the role

  • Lead the transformation of legacy identity management systems and drive the implementation of SailPoint across Pfizer’s global environment
  • Take ownership of SailPoint operations, ensuring seamless integration of IAM systems while maintaining legacy systems and operational excellence
  • Oversee identity lifecycle management processes to ensure security and efficiency across a global enterprise-scale environment
  • Define and execute strategies for modernizing identity security controls including access request, provisioning, and de-provisioning
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements and maintain operational resilience in IAM systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IAM requirements with Pfizer’s broader security architecture and business objectives
  • Guide a multi-national team through complex IAM projects, providing leadership in design and execution of secure, scalable solutions while maintaining legacy operations
  • Continuously assess industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure forward-thinking identity management systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in a relevant discipline in IT/IAM/cybersecurity or master's degree and 7+ years of experience
  • At least 5 years of experience focused specifically on identity lifecycle management in organizations with greater than 100,000 users
  • Hands-on experience implementing and managing SailPoint solutions (SailPoint preferred)
  • In-depth experience with IAM/IGA solutions and platforms
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and corresponding Agile based tools
  • Proven track record of leading teams, managing cross-functional projects, and interacting with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in managing both direct reports and external service providers
  • Extensive knowledge of global laws and regulations and regulatory requirements (GxP, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX)
  • Proficiency with IAM-related security technologies and practices including MFA, SSO, and scripting (SQL, JavaScript, BeanShell)
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIAM, or CRISC are highly desirable
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and mentor/coach others
