Backend Engineer

• Researching and mapping potential affiliate & B2B2C partnership opportunities across sectors including banking, media, student deals, edtech, and book directories
• Assisting with the management of existing partner relationships, including check-ins, reporting, and joint activity coordination. With a focus on our nurturing affiliate partners
• Supporting outreach to prospective partners - drafting introductory emails, LinkedIn messages, and follow-up communications
• Helping to prepare partnership proposals, pitch decks, and one-pagers tailored to specific organisations and audiences
• Attending partnership calls and meetings, taking notes and tracking agreed next steps
• Maintaining and updating the CRM with accurate partner contact details, relationship status, and pipeline activity
• Supporting the onboarding of new partners once deals are agreed - coordinating introductions and ensuring a smooth handover
• Monitoring the edtech and education landscape to spot emerging partnership trends and opportunities
• Collaborating with marketing to produce partnership packaging documentation

Partnerships Intern – 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

• Responding to user queries via email, live chat, and support ticketing systems in a timely and empathetic way
• Escalating complex issues to the relevant teams and following up to ensure resolution
• Helping to build and maintain a library of saved responses, FAQs, help articles, and onboarding resources
• Gathering and documenting user feedback and identifying recurring pain points to share with the product team
• Supporting the onboarding of new institutional clients and users, helping them get set up and confident on the platform
• Monitoring support metrics (response times, satisfaction scores, resolution rates) and flagging trends
• Assisting with user surveys and interviews to inform CX improvements

Data Analyst

• Own the month-end close — ensuring journals, reconciliations and postings are accurate and complete, with insightful management accounts and variance commentary ready on time
• Maintain a high standard of ledger integrity in Xero, reviewing coding and treatment across the business and resolving issues as they arise
• Take ownership of key technical accounting areas: accruals, prepayments, payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee AP and payment processes, including royalty schedules — making sure things run cleanly and on schedule
• Support regulatory and compliance obligations: VAT returns, corporation tax inputs, R&D claims, share-based payment accounting and intercompany positions
• Support year-end close and audit preparation, working alongside the Head of Finance and external auditors
• Feed into the budgeting and reforecasting cycles — building and maintaining the supporting models, schedules and workings that underpin the plan
• Develop and maintain KPI and metric reporting, ensuring consistency across B2B and DTC revenue streams
• Contribute to board and leadership reporting with clear financial analysis and commentary
• Proactively surface trends, risks and opportunities in the numbers before they become surprises
• Partner with the RevOps function to build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking revenue performance, pipeline health, and commercial metrics
• Work with the Data team to extract, clean, and analyse datasets — translating raw data into clear financial and commercial insight
• Support subscriber metrics, cohort analysis and attribution modelling relevant to our subscription business
• Identify and lead initiatives to automate or improve finance and reporting processes — from close workflows to data pipelines between Stripe, HubSpot and Xero
• Act as a finance-literate partner to non-finance stakeholders who need data to make decisions quickly
