About the role
- Monitor and manage operational activities for all transportation modes – domestic, international, transfers and customer shipments.
- Investigate and identify root cause for late shipments.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing and payment of all transportation invoices.
- Resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Process carrier freight claims and provide freight claim reporting.
- Partner with Customer Solutions to find economical solutions for time sensitive shipments.
- Coordinate and participate in carrier performance reviews.
- Monitor KPIs, report any issues and recommend solutions for improvement.
Requirements
- Associates Degree or 2 years of relevant logistics experience.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of domestic and international mail and shipping processes.
- Working knowledge of inventory procedures.
- Basic understanding of transportation industry.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to establish priorities and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and work well under pressure.
- Ability to maintain concise and accurate records.
